Correlations and charge distributions of medium heavy nuclei

چکیده

The effects of longand short-range correlations on the charge distributions of some medium and heavy nuclei are investigated. The long-range correlations are treated within the Random Phase Approximation framework and the short-range correlations with a model inspired to the Correlation Basis Function theory. The two type of correlations produce effects of the same order of magnitude. A comparison with the empirical charge distribution difference between Pb and Tl shows the need of including both correlations to obtain a good description of the data. Modeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions

By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...

Model calculations of doubly closed shell nuclei in CBF theory III . j j coupling and isospin dependence

Correlated basis function theory and Fermi hypernetted chain technique are extended to study medium-heavy, doubly closed shell nuclei in the jj coupling scheme, with different single-particle wave functions for protons and neutrons and isospin-dependent two-body correlations. Central semirealistic interactions are used. Ground-state energies, one-body densities, distribution functions and momen...

New results in the CBF theory for medium-heavy nuclei

Momentum distributions, spectroscopic factors and quasi-hole wave functions of mediumheavy doubly closed shell nuclei have been calculated in the framework of the Correlated Basis Function theory, by using the Fermi hypernetted chain resummation techniques. The calculations have been done by using microscopic two-body nucleon-nucleon potentials of Argonne type, together with three-body interact...

Renormalized Fermi hypernetted chain approach in medium-heavy nuclei

The application of the Correlated basis function theory and of the Fermi hypernetted chain technique, to the description of the ground state of medium-heavy nuclei is reviewed. We discuss how the formalism, originally developed for symmetric nuclear matter, should be changed in order to describe finite nuclear systems, with different number of protons and neutrons. This approach allows us to de...

A theoretical study of benzaldehyde derivatives as tyrosinase inhibitors using Ab initio calculated NQCC parameters

Tyrosinase is a multifunctional copper-containing enzyme. It can catalyze two distinct reactions of melanin synthesis and benzaldehyde derivatives, which are potential tyrosinase inhibitors.  To find the relationships between charge distributions of benzaldehyde and their pharmaceutical behavior, the present study aimed at investigating nuclear quadrupole coupling constants of quadrupolare nucl...
